Competing in AFBJJ competitions

What does this require?

You must register your team to become an Affiliate Member.

Individuals are required to maintain a current Individual Membership to compete - the Individual Membership forms the basis of our new National Ranking System.

Australians Competing overseas in IBJJF competitions

The AFBJJ Inc. Works in conjunction with the IBJJF (International Brasilian Jiu Jitsu Federation)

What does this mean?

Competitors for IBJJF International events must have a current AFBJJ Individual Membership to register.

All Memberships must use an unique email address. Our system requires that no email address may be used for more than one membership.

Age Categories
The following criteria must be met for the entire year that the competition falls in.

Junior 4 years - less than or equal to 4 years
Junior 5 years - less than or equal to 5 years
Junior 6 years - less than or equal to 6 years
Junior 7 years - less than or equal to 7 years
Junior 8 years - less than or equal to 8 years
Junior 9 years - less than or equal to 9 years
Junior 10 years - less than or equal to 10 years
Junior 11 years - less than or equal to 11 years
Junior 12 years - less than or equal to 12 years
Junior 13 years - less than or equal to 13 years
Junior 14 years - less than or equal to 14 years
Junior 15 years - less than or equal to 15 years

Juvenile 1 - less than or equal to 16 years
Juvenile 11 - less than or equal to 17 years

Adult - greater than or equal to 18 years
Master - greater than or equal to 30 years
Senior 1 - greater than or equal to 36 years
Senior 2 - greater than or equal to 41 years
Senior 3 - greater than or equal to 46 years

PHOTO UPLOAD - A complete head shot (free of hats and sunglasses) from the shoulders up with a white back ground will be accepted.

 

Individual

Become a member of the AFBJJ Inc. Among other bonuses you will receive an ID number and be tracked at each competition allowing you to be a part of the national Ranking System. As the membership grows more features will become available!

Need support? Have your academy recognised by the AFBJJ Inc. You will receive an Affiliate Logo to use and be listed in our Affiliate Members data base.

The head instructor must be an Individual member of the AFBJJ Inc.
